Maude and Edwards Architects was an idea that we discussed during our University years. After a period of studying and working, the opportunity arose for us to make the business a reality. With the two of us having a passion for residential Architecture, combining our skill sets felt like the natural next step.

We met in 2008 whilst studying our Postgraduate Diploma​, fast forward to the present day we have both worked in London and Melbourne (Australia) honing our skills. In 2017 we took the plunge and decided to start our business in Bury St Edmunds, Suffolk. After getting married in 2018 and having a baby in 2019 (and a second in 2021), it's safe to say we have had a busy few years! Often, we are asked if we struggle to work together but the reality is that we make a strong team who respect each others skills and experience to date.

Our focus and passion has always been for residential architecture, in particular; new build dwellings, refurbishment and extension works. We have gained extensive experience of all project stages, meaning we can take your needs and form these into a reality. Although we focus on projects in Suffolk, Cambridgeshire, Essex and Norfolk, we are happy and willing to travel anywhere within the UK for the right project.

Our aim is to keep the entire process fun and exciting and above all else, easy to understand. We minimise technical jargon, maximise honesty and pride ourselves on design excellence whilst keeping budgets and clients needs a priority.
 
We are both fully qualified Architects and registered with ARB (Architects Registration Board). Ben is also a member of the RIBA (Royal Institue of British Architects).
